Born in São Miguel, Azores in 1975, he later moved to Lisbon to study Architecture in the Architecture Faculty of Lisbon, graduating in 1999.
He started working as an architect and urban planner for Lisbon’s City Hall. He then co-authored several architectural projects including private housing, rehabilitation, and retail spaces.
From 2008 to 2016 he was Project Leader at Parque Expo 98, where he was responsible for coordinate several urban plans across Portugal. In 2009 he designed the Wrong Weather Shop in Porto and was awarded with Best Design Prize by the Fashion Awards Portugal.
In 2015, he co-authored with Astrid Suzano, a project for the international competition Sky Pavillion-ArchTriumph that earned them a special honourable mention.
He is currently Senior Advisor in the at Polis Program.
