Maps of my world is a collective installation that presents itself as an affective cartography of the island, constructed through the eyes of children aged 4 to 8. It is the result of a workshop held in various municipalities across São Miguel during May and June, which proposes an interpretation of the territory not as a geographical map, but as a lived experience. Through drawing, collage, and free creation, each child constructed a personal map composed of significant places — where they play, where they feel safe, where they do not like to be, and where they go in their daily lives.
