Reflecting on how oceanographic research tools transform our perception of the seabed, this presentation will explore how technology and the circulating visual culture have shaped our relationship with the deep sea over time.
Margarida Mendes will address the exploitation of mineral resources planned along the mesoatlantic dorsal, questioning how we relate to the oceans from conservation and/or resource exploitation perspective, proposing the mobilization of alternatives.
