Joana Franco (b. 2001) is a visual artist from the Azores. She works between Portugal and the Netherlands. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts from Aki ArtEZ (Enschede) in 2023 and completed her Master’s degree in painting at the Frank Mohr Institute (Groningen) in 2025. She began her career with the solo exhibition De Dentro De at the Ponta Delgada Cultural Center in the Azores (2021), as part of Walk&Talk. Since then, she has participated in exhibitions in the Netherlands, including at the Rijksmuseum Twenthe (2023), Galerie Poulloeuf (2024), and Re:Search:Gallery (2025). In 2026, she will present her solo project The Space Between My Legs at Kunstruimte Villa de Bank (Enschede).
