She graduated in Communication Design from the University of Lisbon and taught Artistic Expression in primary school, where she created art workshops with young children. She has a degree in Education from the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Lisbon. She started doing acrobatic gymnastics at the age of twenty and moved on to aerial acrobatics in her late twenties. She took circus and physical theater classes and received extensive dance training. She became deaf at the age of 39, after giving birth to her second child, and was no longer able to teach. As a result, she created the project “An artist at home,” which included kits containing art materials and activities for children to do with their families at home.
