"eh, vocês, com’é q’iss’ vai?" is the simple, recurring question that has accompanied the journey of the Ilhéu Atelier since its arrival on the island. Asked at the door, on the street, during chance encounters or lengthy conversations, it has become a gesture of closeness and recognition within the community. An invitation to pause and reflect, a way to measure time and consider what has been accomplished. The exhibition takes this theme as its starting point to offer the island a tangible response by opening the studio space and its creative process to everyone who has crossed paths with us along the way: friends, colleagues, artists, clients, neighbors, and curious passersby.

Over the past four years, the studio has been building a practice rooted in this territory, shaped by attempts, continuities, and shifts. Amid models, collages, and drawings — both completed and in progress — the exhibition offers a fragmented yet cumulative journey in which different moments of work converge and influence one another. It is not merely about showcasing results — because these are never finished — but about sharing the rhythms, doubts, and enthusiasm that accompany the creation of architecture conceived from the island and in dialogue with other places. It is not a retrospective, but a celebration of permanence and the relationship with the territory. As a possible — and always provisional — response to the question posed by its title, the exhibition affirms the desire to continue creating, experimenting, and inhabiting this territory together. Not least because architecture is always a collective act.
