We build our language with rocks+info
22 may — 21h
We build our language with rocks shifts the idea of autonomy from an abstract sphere to a situated, relational, and concrete practice. More than a fixed condition, it is understood as a continuous exercise in negotiation: between self-determination and interdependence, between the local and the global, between singularity and life in common.
Departing from the context of the Azores Region, which marks fifty years of political and administrative autonomy in 2026, the exhibition brings together artists who explore different ways of thinking about this notion and who, through the construction their own language — using bodies, images, narratives, and processes — question how autonomy can be imagined and practiced collectively.
